Jake grew up in Valdosta, Ga and attended ABAC in Tifton, Ga. where he acquired his degree in Landscape design. Jake moved to Jacksonville, FL in 2009. He joined AmeriLife in 2012 where he met his wife, and a few years later their twins were born.
